“We are truly doomed” – Joe Rogan exposes the naked truth behind the Northern Lights, just days after solar storms leave the world in awe

The whole world went into a state of awe when Mother Nature decided to exhibit the Aurora Borealis in locations other than the North Pole. Recently, a solar storm resulted in a display of beautiful green dancing lights in San Francisco, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Ohio. No doubt, Joe Rogan had to talk about it on his podcast.

On a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the podcaster, along with his guest, said Greg Overton, shared a conversation about the miraculous cosmic event. However, Rogan did not hesitate to issue a warning.

Joe Rogan reveals the dangers of solar storms

The beloved UFC color commentator recently spoke about the appearance of the northern lights in unusual locations. Rogan asked Overton, who lives in Utah, if the place got to see the dancing lights. Although the JRE guest revealed he hadn’t seen it himself, his daughter had sent photos.

Soon after, Rogan revealed the dangers hiding behind the pretty front of those lights. Rogan said“Well, we knew about it. We knew they were coming because there are two different types of radiation that come from those storms when they have these large coronal mass ejections. One of them will reach us in a few seconds. I think those are gamma waves. Is that it, reaching us in a few seconds? And then it takes days before the second one gets us. And that’s the one that takes out your cell phone towers and screws up communications and shuts down the network, and if it gets big enough, we’re really doomed.

The solar storm, while beautiful, could have been disastrous. These are the consequences of the geomagnetic storms that occur on the surface of the sun due to the tightly packed magnetic field lines. This causes a boatload of plasma to erupt from the yellow dwarf’s surface. This in turn disrupts the Earth’s magnetic field, which can be observed as the Aurora Borealis.

Joe Rogan talks about the Carrington event

Rogan has often shown a fascination with it everything that has to do with space. He has spoken about aliens and UFOs on many occasions. However, when discussing solar storms, one can rarely skip a discussion of the Carrington event. It was a major solar storm that affected the entire world.

Rogan read from the show’s monitor that the Carrington event was the most intense geomagnetic storm ever recorded in recorded history. The storm peaked in September 1859, during the 10th solar cycle. Additionally, it created a display of the Northern Lights around the world. But that is not everything! The event also caused sparks and fires at several telegraph stations.

“What the hell would that do today… But the scary thing is that all our cars are controlled by computers. Unless you have an old one with a carburetor, you suck,” the podcaster announced after reading about the Carrington event. No doubt the event had Rogan on his toes.
