Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Fresno shopping center parking lot: PD

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A man is dead after police say he was struck by a vehicle in downtown Fresno Friday morning. Now they are looking for the driver who left the scene.

Authorities say it happened before 10:30 a.m. at the Manchester North shopping center at Blackstone and Dakota, in the parking lot for Planet Fitness.

According to police, a man and a woman got into an argument that escalated and led to the woman running over the man.

He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died.

Detectives are still investigating whether the woman deliberately ran over the man, so they are not calling it a murder case at this time.

Police say the woman left the scene in a red vehicle and drove east on Dakota. They’re still trying to find her.

The man has not been identified.
