Governor orders flags at half-staff for Peace Officers Memorial Day

CASPER, Wyo. – Governor Mark Gordon has ordered flags to fly at half-staff on Wednesday, May 15, in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

According to a news release from the governor’s office, the order includes the U.S. and Wyoming state flags through today, ending at sunset.

Peace Officers Memorial Day was signed as a proclamation by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, designating May 15 as Remembrance Day and the week as Police Week.
