Shots fired into basement suite of Abbotsford home

Police are investigating an incident involving shots fired at a home in Abbotsford on Monday morning (April 22).

Few details have been released at this time, but the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) has confirmed that they received a report of shots fired at 2 a.m. on Sugarpine Street in downtown Abbotsford.

When police arrived, they could find no evidence of such activity. But later that day, it was determined that shots had been fired in the basement suite of a home in the 2500 block of Sugarpine Street. No one was injured.

According to the police, this was a targeted incident.

Police are continuing to investigate and no further details are being released at this time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has surveillance video of the area between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on April 22 is asked to contact APD at 604-859-5225.
